Nomos Tangente Watches

Nomos Watches. NOMOS Glashütte is a German watchmaking company based in Glashütte, Saxony, which specializes in manual-winding and automatic mechanical watches. It was founded in January 1990, two months after the fall of the Berlin Wall, by Roland Schwertner.

It embodies our watchmaking company like no other: The now renowned typography, classic and refined, a masterpiece of straightforwardness—Tangente is the shortest connection between the heart and the head. Tempered blue hands on a white silver-plated dial, multiple awards, and high precision, thanks to the hand-wound NOMOS Alpha caliber.

The Tangente: The Classic NOMOS. The Tangente represents NOMOS Glashütte’s success like no other model. It was one of their first watches and quickly became a bestseller. Its design draws inspiration from Bauhaus, as reflected in its clean and simple lines.

Just like the Wassily chair or the Wagenfeld Lamp WA 24, the Tangente has been recognizes as a Bauhaus inspired design icon:When the watch finally arrived at my doorstep via courier, I opened it expecting a fairly humdrum timepiece that resembled the ones I had seen in department stores time and time again. Upon first look, the long rectangular box it came in was nothing special. A black stained wood with the word Nomos engraved in the top. Its metal hinges and locking mechanism were adequate

Technology. neomatik, the new automatic standard from Replica NOMOS Glashütte, has even more to offer. Aside from the innovative date function, these watches are robust, water resistant, and feature a metal bracelet. In short, these two versions of Tangente Sport (top right) and Club Sport (left) represent modern Glashütte watchmaking at its best.
